TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF RESERVATION AND PAYMENT
To confirm the reservation, the customer must pay 50% of the rental price (reservation fee) at the time of booking. The reservation will be confirmed only after the full payment of the reservation fee. Once Sammon Luxury Travel has received the reservation fee, the reservation will be confirmed in writing to the customer. The remaining 50% of all rental costs must be paid no later than 60 days before the start of the reservation. If the reservation is made less than 60 days before the start of the reservation, the entire rental price must be paid at the time of confirmation. By paying the reservation fee, the customer accepts these terms.
Payments can be made by bank or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) or by bank transfer to Villada Travel Group Ltd's account. The customer is responsible for any fees related to different payment methods. Online payments are processed through Paytrail Oyj's payment service, supervised by the Financial Supervisory Authority. All payments must be in euros.
All cancellations by the customer must be made in writing (by email) and sent to Sammon Luxury Travel. The date of cancellation is considered to be the date when Sammon Luxury Travel receives the email. If the cancellation occurs more than 60 days before the start of the reservation, and 50% of the reservation fee is still unpaid, the customer is not required to pay the remaining balance (the remaining 50% of the rental costs). If the cancellation occurs more than 60 days before the start of the reservation and the final payment has already been made, Sammon Luxury Travel is obligated to refund this 50% payment. The reservation fee paid during the pre-booking process will not be refunded. If the cancellation occurs less than 60 days before the start of the reservation, the full rental price will be charged, and no refunds will be issued for payments made. Sammon Luxury Travel is not responsible for refunding any additional costs incurred due to payment methods. The cancellation policy applies to all cases, including situations where a customer's family member falls seriously ill, is involved in an accident, or passes away. Sammon Luxury Travel recommends all customers to ensure that they have adequate travel insurance that covers the entire travel party for unforeseen accidents and also includes trip cancellation coverage. Insurance and its cancellation protection are not available or purchasable through Sammon Luxury Travel.
CHANGES TO THE RESERVATION DATE
Changes to the reservation date after confirmation are possible with the approval of the owner and Sammon Luxury Travel, subject to availability. In cases of changes to the reservation date or if a Voucher has been issued to the customer, the payment and cancellation terms will remain in accordance with the original reservation date, unless agreed otherwise in writing. Changes to the reservation date may also affect the rental price, as determined by the property owner's price table. Additionally, Sammon Luxury Travel charges a service fee of €120 for any changes to the reservation date.
RIGHT OF CANCELLATION BY SAMMON LUXURY TRAVEL
Sammon Luxury Travel has the right to cancel the customer's reservation in the event of a force majeure. Sammon Luxury Travel also has the right to cancel the reservation without separate notice if the customer fails to pay the reservation fee or the final payment on the agreed-upon due date. If the reservation is canceled due to customer misconduct during the stay, no refunds will be issued. In the highly unlikely event that the property owner makes significant changes to the reservation or cancels it, Sammon Luxury Travel will immediately inform the customer. In this situation, the property owner is responsible for refunding the total amount paid by the customer. If the customer wishes, Sammon Luxury Travel is committed to making every effort to offer an alternative property with a similar price, standard, and location to the original accommodation. If the cancellation is initiated by Sammon Luxury Travel, outside of force majeure situations, Sammon Luxury Travel is obligated to refund 100% of all payments made by the customer to Sammon Luxury Travel. Sammon Luxury Travel is not obligated to provide any financial compensation in addition to the refunds already made.
LIABILITY, DAMAGES, AND FORCE MAJEURE
If the customer damages the property during the rental period, the customer is liable to fully compensate the property owner for the damages. The customer must follow the rules and instructions provided by the property owner or local villa manager during the rental period. Any violations may lead to compensation claims. For certain properties, the customer may be required to pay a security deposit (also known as a security rental) at the beginning of the rental period to cover potential breakages, damages, thefts, or excessive mess. The requirement of a security deposit will always be communicated to the customer before the reservation is confirmed. The security deposit will be returned after the rental period, provided that no damages, unpaid charges, or separate cleaning requirements have been reported. If there is a security deposit, Sammon Luxury Travel or the property owner has the right to demand a necessary amount to return the property to its original condition. Sammon Luxury Travel is not responsible for damages arising from force majeure or exceptional circumstances beyond Sammon Luxury Travel's control. Such force majeure events may include, for example, official regulations, airspace restrictions, acts of war, civil disturbances, health threats at the travel destination such as a serious disease, or natural disasters or adverse weather conditions. Sammon Luxury Travel cannot be held responsible for disruptions in mechanical equipment, such as pumps, boilers, pool filtration systems, internet connections, and public services, such as water, gas, and electricity. All valuables left on the property are the customer's responsibility. Sammon Luxury Travel is not liable for their loss.
Only individuals whose names are listed on the booking form have the right to use the property. The maximum allowed number of persons, including all children, must not be exceeded unless agreed upon before the booking. The owner has the right to terminate the rental without prior notice and without a refund if the maximum number of persons is exceeded. If the customer intends to use the property for any commercial purposes, such as photography or filming, or for private events, such as weddings, parties, large celebrations, or meetings, this must be clearly mentioned before the booking. Such usage must be separately agreed upon in advance. The customer must ensure that the property, along with all belongings and equipment, is handled carefully and returned in the same condition as it was originally. Any damages or breakages must be reported to the owner or local manager as soon as possible. The customer is responsible for the property and its movable property's loss or damages. Sammon Luxury Travel reserves the right to charge the customer for such losses, breakages, or damages. The customer must adhere to the arrival and departure times as per the provided instructions. For any other arrival or departure times, the tenant must contact Sammon Luxury Travel or the local manager as early as possible. Any costs incurred due to different arrival or departure times are the customer's responsibility. Pets are not allowed unless otherwise agreed with the property owner. The owner reserves the right to impose an additional fee and/or security deposit. The number of pets must be agreed upon before the booking is accepted. Reasonable access to the property must be provided to the property owner or their representative for urgent maintenance and/or inspection purposes.
ACCOMMODATION AND ENVIRONMENT
Sammon Luxury Travel properties are located in the center of Levi. Construction or roadworks and the noise arising from them may be ongoing at any time of the year on nearby property or land. This is not under the control of Sammon Luxury Travel, and it is not responsible for any construction or roadworks taking place nearby. If such a situation is known, Sammon Luxury Travel will try to inform the customer about all events, but the works may also take place at any time without prior notice.
If there are any issues with the property, the customer must present all complaints to the owner or local manager as soon as they are noticed, so that Sammon Luxury Travel has enough time and opportunity to resolve the problem. If a complaint is filed with the local villa manager during the rental period but cannot be resolved, the customer must contact Sammon Luxury Travel within 48 hours. Sammon Luxury Travel will do its best to resolve the problem to the customer's satisfaction within its capabilities. The customer must always give Sammon Luxury Travel the opportunity to propose an appropriate solution to the complaint. If the complaint is not satisfactorily resolved, the customer must provide a detailed and comprehensive complaint in writing to Sammon Luxury Travel. Complaints reported and received more than 48 hours after the end of the rental period will not be considered, and Sammon Luxury Travel will not accept such claims or complaints. If the customer leaves the property before the departure date without notifying the local manager of any issues, the customer is not entitled to compensation.
These reservation terms are governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Finland. In the event of any dispute arising from these terms, the competent court is in Helsinki. By making the first payment to confirm the reservation, the customer fully accepts these reservation terms.
